Antique Anatomy

The Web's Largest Collection of Historical Anatomies and Biomedical Ephemera

About

Antique Anatomy is the web's largest collection of antique medical illustrations ranging from early engravings and woodcuts to turn of the century lithographs. The collections begins with early anatomical illustrations and progresses through the late 19th and early 20th century illustrations of normal and abnormal anatomy as well as numerous disease processes.

These illustrations are extraordinary for their level of detail. The vast majority were produced by anonymous artists, while some were produced by the anatomists themselves.

The collection was compiled from several public domain scans from dozens of universities and various other archives from around the web.
